Full of engaging stage presence and flair, the members of the internationally acclaimed Leonkoro String Quartet had a great reception when they made their Bath debut in 2024, and we are delighted to welcome the Berlin-based quartet back. Leonkoro is the Esperanto word for ‘lionheart’ and the quartet – which includes two brothers – say that it is no accidental reference to Astrid Lindgren’s famous children’s fantasy novel about two brothers. It’s also about love and death, so often themes of the music they play so beguilingly.
