Bath Mozartfest is a privately funded festival, receiving no government or local council funding. Every November, the festival relies on ticket sales and sponsorship from its supporters to be able to invite the world’s very finest classical musicians to perform in Bath. Without this extra support, the price of all concert tickets would have to increase substantially to pay for the costs of staging such a high quality festival in the city.
How you can support:
Every member of Bath Mozartfest Society makes an important contribution to the long term success of the Festival. There are five suggested membership levels and all include Priority Booking.
Membership is annual and valid for one Festival only.
Suggested donation £5000+ per annum.
Members of the Mozartfest Circle receive all the benefits of Patrons and Benefactors plus prominent acknowledgement of their generosity in appropriate literature. More importantly, all Circle members will be part of an exclusive group of donors whose support makes an invaluable and much appreciated contribution to the success of Bath Mozartfest.
You don’t have to be wealthy to be a concert sponsor. We would love to hear from anyone who would like to make a real difference to the festival and entertain some friends/ guests at the same time. Sponsorship as an individual or as a group. Please contact Jackie Inverdale , Development Director on 01225 429750 or email: jackie.inverdale@gmail.com if you are interested in the opportunities available.
How to leave a gift in your will
A valid will is the only guaranteed way for your wishes to be carried out and for your legacy to reach the Festival.
HOW TO MAKE A NEW WILL
Making a will isn’t complicated and needn’t be expensive:
First, work out how much you have to leave, including the total sum of your property, money and possessions, less any outstanding mortgages or loans.
Decide who you want to benefit from your will. For example, your family, friends and favourite charities or good causes. Next, appoint a professional adviser – usually a solicitor or other will writing professional. Then you need to choose executors to make sure your wishes are carried out. These can be professional advisers, friends or family members – or a combination to suit you.
Finally, keep your will safe and make sure your executors know where to find it. Keep the original copy with your solicitor in secure storage and retain a photocopy in your filing system.
HOW TO UPDATE AN EXISTING WILL
It is vital to review your will at intervals to ensure it still reflects your wishes and circumstances. For instance, if you move house or get married, or someone mentioned in your will dies, you may need to change it. Speak to your solicitor or will writing professional about the simplest way to revise your will quickly and cost-effectively.

SUGGESTED LEGACY WORDING TO TAKE TO YOUR SOLICITOR
If you wish to remember Bath Mozartfest Ltd in your Will you may like to take the following wording suggestion for a pecuniary bequest (a set sum) to your solicitor. They will ensure that your wishes are accurately followed:
“I give the sum of… pounds to Bath Mozartfest Ltd (Registered Charity No 1040455) of 4 Queen Street, Bath BA1 1HE and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Bath Mozartfest Ltd shall be a complete discharge to my Executors.
If at my death any charity named as a beneficiary in this Will or Codicil hereto has changed its name or amalgamated with or transferred its assets to another body then my Executors shall give effect to any gift made to such charity as if it had been made (in the first case) to the body in its changed name or (in the second place) to the body which results from such amalgamation or to which such transfer has been made”
If you wish to make a residuary bequest (a proportion rather than the whole) you may like to include the following wording:
“I give (%) of the residue of my real and personal estate which I can dispose of by will to Bath Mozartfest Ltd (Registered Charity 1040455) of 4 Queen Street, Bath BA1 1HE and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Bath Mozartfest Ltd shall be a complete discharge to my Executors”.
If you would like to make a gift specific to a certain aspect of our work, then please get in touch with Jackie Inverdale, Development Director on 01225 429750 to discuss what long term projects could benefit from your gift.
