Can I buy tickets in person at Bath Box Office?
No, this year tickets can only be purchased in advance online or over the phone. It will not be possible to buy tickets over the counter. Bath Box Office is open for telephone bookings and queries from 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday, plus from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 21 November on 01225 463362. The Box Office will stop selling tickets for individual concerts at 4pm the day before for each lunchtime concert, and at 3pm on the day of the evening concerts. No tickets will be sold on the door at any of the concerts.
Can I sit with my family or friends?
In line with government guidance, you must only sit with members of your own household or bubble. All seats will be placed in pairs. If your group is larger than 2, you will need to sit in separate pairs. If you are buying a single seat, please chose 1 from an available pair, and we will block the other seat from sale so no one sits next to you. If your chosen single seat has a sold seat (displays as a grey dot) immediately next to it, do not chose that seat, as we will be in the process of blocking it from sale. If in doubt, please ring the Box Office on 01225 463362 for advice.
The seating plan online looks strange. Is that how it will look in the Ball Room?
No, all seats will be evenly spaced in the Ball Room, even though it doesn’t necessarily look like this on the seating plan when purchasing your tickets. Rest assured each pair of seats will be 2m from the pair either side of it, and in front and behind it. There are photos of the actual layout on this website and the Box Office website.
Do I need a physical ticket?
Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or by post. (If you purchased an e-ticket via email please check your spam/junk folders if not promptly received). Please either print your e-ticket ticket at home and bring it with you, show the steward your e-ticket using your mobile device, or show your physical ticket if purchased by post. The steward will not collect any printed material. Please take this home with you.
Can I give my ticket to someone else?
Yes, but you will need to contact the Box Office no later than the day before the concert to provide contact details for the person who is attending the concert in your place. In order that we can comply with the Government’s track and trace system, we need to keep a record of who sits in which seat.
Can I ask for a refund?
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. Tickets may be returned for resale, if the event is sold out, by emailing or telephoning Bath Box Office on 01225 463362. Resale cannot be guaranteed and a £2 charge per ticket will be made if successful. All money will be refunded after Bath Mozart Minifest.
Can I buy a ticket on the door?
No, tickets must be purchased in advance of the concert.
The Box Office will stop selling tickets for individual concerts at 4pm the day before for each lunchtime concert, and at 3pm on the day of the evening concerts.
Will I have to queue to get into the venue?
Yes, it is likely you will have to queue before entering the Ball Room. We hope this will be possible inside, rather than outside. Please follow directions on signage displayed at the venue. Disabled patrons who may find it difficult to queue should contact the Box Office at least 48 hours ahead of the concert to discuss their needs.
Will I have to sanitise my hands?
Hand sanitiser will be provided on entry to the Assembly Rooms, and at various key points around the building. Please sanitise your hands when you arrive.
What happens if I am late?
If you arrive after the concert starts, you may be allowed to attend the event but may be directed to alternative seating by a steward. This may or may not be inside the Ball Room.
Will the café/bar be open?
No. It will not be possible to buy any food or drink at the venue.
Can I buy a concert programme?
If possible, please purchase a Programme Voucher when you purchase your tickets. You will receive a separate email confirming your purchase nearer the date. Either print off this email, have the email available to see on your mobile device, or bring your voucher if purchased via post. If you order online and opt for e-tickets, please select ‘collection’ for your voucher. You will be sent an email by Bath Box Office at a later stage, which will act as your Voucher – either print this off and bring it with you, or have it ready to show on your mobile device.
Can I leave my bag and coat in the cloakroom?
There will be no cloakroom facilities this year. Please do not bring large bags with you. All coats and bags must be placed under your seat.
Will the toilets be open?
Toilets will be available. You will be asked to wait in a socially distanced queue in order to use the facilities.
Do I have to wear a face mask?
In line with Government guidance, everyone should wear a face mask or covering whilst inside the Assembly Rooms (we are aware that some people are less able to wear face coverings and ask people to be mindful and respectful in such circumstances, noting that the reasons for this may not be visible or apparent to others).
What time will the concert end?
All approximate end times are published in our digital brochure and on our website. At the end of each concert, audience members will be asked to leave the auditorium, row by row. If you are booking a taxi to collect you, please allow an additional ten minutes to leave the building.
Will I be able to meet the artists?
Unfortunately, this will not be possible.
Will there be chocolates and CDs for sale?
There will be no Mozartkugeln chocolates or artist CDs for sale this year.
Do I use the usual entrance to the Assembly Rooms?
We have installed a one-way entrance and exit system at the Assembly Rooms. Please follow the signage and enter the building via the Garden in Alfred Street (opposite Boston Tea Party & Woods Restaurant). After the concert, you will be asked to exit the building through the usual doors at the front.
