Two gifted young players make their debut appearances at Bath Mozartfest in this concert. Both emerged from the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) stable, which supports fine young musicians at the start of their careers. Last year Jonathan Leibovitz won the prestigious Arthur Waser Prize and was named as one of Classic FM’s ‘30 under 30’ Rising Stars, whilst Jonathan Ware already enjoys an established career in Europe as both a chamber musician and accompanist. Featuring three vivid instrumental songs by Robert Schumann and concluding with Brahms Clarinet Sonata No 2 in E flat major Op 120, one of the treasures of the clarinet repertoire, this concert promises a delightful lunchtime treat.
